- Domestic Flights: Limited to three other local airports (Bumthang in central Bhutan, Tashigang in the east, and Gelephu in the south). Note that Tashigang and Gelephu airports are currently not operational.
- Taxi: Local taxi drivers, who mostly understand and speak Hindi, are available for hire. Negotiating a fare is common practice.
- Organized Tours by Local Tour Operators: Tour itineraries, transportation, and accommodation are arranged by the tour operator, offering a hassle-free travel experience.
- Driving into Bhutan: While driving your car is an option, it involves additional paperwork upon arrival at the entry point. An authorized letter from the Road Safety and Transport Authority is required.
- Car Rental Service: Opting for an SUV or mid-size coach is popular among independent travelers due to the convenience and better experience offered. Rates vary among different providers and are subject to change. Rental charges typically include a minimum of 100 kilometers per day, with actual usage exceeding this amount charged accordingly. Most providers offer a daily rate.
